I specialize in building light weight hunting rifles and PRS rifles.
In the PRS and NRL world my rifles have won some of the most prestigious matches and consistently finish in the top.
I take pride in building purpose-built rifles that shoot like bench-rest rifles. If you are interested in building a rifle give us a call and lets get it started!
Machining has always been my profession and when I started shooting precision rifles gunsmithing soon became a passion. I started apprenticing in the afternoons at ES-Tactical in Ogden and started the process of learning to build tack-drivers. Over the next couple of years I learned along side of some of the best gunsmiths I knew and through trial and error, on my own, developed a process of building a rifle that will consistently stack bullets on top of each other.
Preece Precision started as a supplemental income while working as a service engineer installing and maintaining large CNC equipment. In late 2017 wife and I decided to invest in a lathe and start the process of obtaining a FFL. Preece Precision started as a small out-of-the-garage business, but quickly grew out of the garage. In early 2019 Preece Precision moved into it’s own brick-and-mortar facility and I quit my day job.
Now I strive to produce rifles, tailored to my customer’s needs, that shoot amazing and in a timely manner.
My Preece Precision rifle shot great! My Lone Peak Arms Fuzion ran like a champ as always. I’m lucky that Garret Maine Preece was able to get my new barrel done in time for me to get it ready for the match.
